OmniCable announces that Jim Saffery, OmniCable’s Boston Regional Manager, has decided to retire effective July 3, 2020. Victor Lewis, currently Boston’s Senior Account Manager, will serve as the new Regional Manager upon Saffery’s departure.
Saffery began his career in the electrical industry when he joined OmniCable in January of 1990. “During my first few years at OmniCable, it was an incredible experience to be a part of, at the time, a small business. We all pitched in to do whatever was needed to make it successful,” said Saffery. During his 30-plus years with OmniCable, he has seen the company grow into what it is today. “What the company has accomplished is incredible and came with hard work, perseverance, and a company culture that helped me grow personally and professionally. I truly feel fortunate to have been with such a great company for so long.”
During his tenure with OmniCable, Saffery has been an integral component in the growth and success of the company and played critical roles in many aspects of the business operation. “Jim has helped steer our company through times of great change and growth. He was immediately recognized as a leader and had a hand in building almost every aspect of the culture that makes OmniCable the company it is today,” said Jeff Siegfried, OmniCable’s Vice Chairman. “Personally, Jim is a trusted confidant who has helped me make decisions and proof concepts to grow the business over the years. I recognized very quickly that I was fortunate to have Jim’s insight as he would oversee many of OmniCable’s defining moments and major developments.”
Once retired, Saffery, who now resides in the Boston area, will split his time between Boston, MA, and Charleston, SC. “I will cherish the time I had with the company and will miss the many employees, customers, and friends who supported me and OmniCable,” said Saffery.
